I am thrilled to announce that I have recently earned the prestigious FACHE (Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives) credential. This achievement marks a significant milestone in my career as a healthcare executive and reflects a pivot I made three years ago. While I love treating patients, I thought I could have more of an impact with a greater number of people if I transitioned into a leadership role. The position changes I’ve had and earning the FACHE credential are the most obvious, outward signs of that.

FACHE is the highest standard of professional development in the healthcare management field. It signifies competence, ethical conduct, and dedication to advancing the healthcare management profession. Earning this credential was no easy feat, as it required meeting rigorous academic and professional requirements, as well as passing a comprehensive examination, which I did last week.

I believe that healthcare leaders have a responsibility to ensure that their organizations are providing high-quality, patient-centered care while also being financially sustainable and socially responsible. By earning this credential, I am demonstrating my commitment to these principles and to the ongoing improvement of the healthcare system.

I am honored to join the ranks of the more than 9,000 healthcare executives who have earned this distinction, and I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the healthcare system and the patients it serves.
